Woody Allen and Marge Simpson

So i watched Hannah and her Sisters the other day. It's a Woody Allen film. It's funny, his films that are the most critically acclaimed, it seems, are the ones that resonate the least with me. I recognized his wit and as always enjoyed his self deprecating sense of humor, but at the same time, I don't understand all the relationship crap he writes about. I think it's a clear example of someone not understanding the context of sex, honestly. So yeah, I think since I am a christian, Woody Allen's movies don't pack that emotional wallop they do for others.

Anyway, Julie Kavner is in this movie, which is interesting. She plays the voice of Marge Simpson. It's interesting because I don't think I'd ever seen her. I mean, Dan Castellenata is on Conan every other week, and we all know who Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, and Harry Shearer are...

Speaking of The Simpsons, if you haven't seen it, please watch the episode "You Only Movie Twice." It's on Season 8 disc 1 if you want to Netflix it. I think it's my favorite episode.

Cheating!

I am substitute teaching right now. It's basically the easiest. 90 bucks I'll have ever made. Buuuut, I'm giving a test, and these kids suck at cheating. I like to think I was fairly non-obvious as a cheater back in my voted-biggest-cheater-by-my-senior-class high school days. Yeah, I mean obviously if I was voted biggest cheater then someone knew, but I like to think is wasn't the teachers. Anyway, its funny, the kids in here that are trying to cheat are fairly obvious, as soon as they start the test, they glance up at me to see how attentive I'm being. Then they look at other people's papers. My favorite was the girl who turned in her chair to crack her back, and used that as an opportunity to look at other papers.

Oh well, having said all that, all I am really doing to combat it is watching them from a better vantage point, cause really, in the grand scheme of things, does it matter if someone gets a couple questions right that they would have gotten wrong on a US History test?

Grilled Cheese Mary?

So it's Sunday afternoon. I'm home from church lazing away the afternoon... and I'm watching Miami Ink on TLC. So a lady just came into the store to get a tattoo of the grilled cheese sandwich she sold on eBay that sorta looks like a lady's face. Yeah, she didn't just get "mary's" face, she got the grilled cheese. What!?!? Anyway, I recognize the area the store in miami ink is, but I don't know for sure where it is. Oh well, time for a nap.
